Two-story great room interior design — new construction home South Carolina — floor to ceiling stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, transitional furnishings by All-lynnteriors

Project: Two-Story Great Room — New Construction Interior Design, Clarksville, MD

This dramatic two-story great room was designed for a new construction home in the Upstate South Carolina area, where the goal was to honor the architecture without letting it feel cold or untouchable. Soaring vaulted ceilings, an oversized arched window bank, and a floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplace gave us a stunning canvas — and a clear responsibility to fill it with intention.
The furniture plan was designed to ground the space without competing with its height. A generous sectional in warm charcoal anchors the seating area, balanced by a cognac leather chair that adds richness and contrast. The layered gray area rug defines the conversation zone and softens the dark hardwood floors beneath — a combination that feels both polished and lived-in.
Texture does the heavy lifting here. Woven fabrics, smooth leather, weathered metal accents, and the raw natural stone of the fireplace surround create a layered warmth that keeps a large-scale room from feeling sparse or staged. Woven wood shades filter the natural light beautifully while maintaining the connection to the outdoors that the window wall was designed to deliver.
Every accessory was selected with scale in mind — oversized botanicals, sculptural objects, and a carefully placed throw that says someone actually lives here and loves it.
The result is a great room that feels as impressive as it looks — and as comfortable as a home should be.

Guest bedroom interior design Greenville SC — gray and yellow accent bedroom, abstract art, transitional style by All-lynnteriors

Guest Bedroom — Residential Interior Design, Greenville, SC

Proof that a well-designed room doesn't need a lot of square footage or a big budget — it needs a clear point of view. Here, a crisp gray and yellow palette do all the heavy lifting. The charcoal linen bedding and walnut platform bed create a calm, grounded base, while the yellow geometric accent pillows and matching ceramic lamps introduce just enough energy to keep the room from feeling flat.
The paired abstract art above the bed is the finishing move — pulling every color in the room into one cohesive moment and giving the space a collected, intentional feel that guests always notice.
Simple. Considered. Completely pulled together.

Primary suite interior design Greenville SC — botanical mural wallcovering, neutral bedroom, transitional design by All-lynnteriors

Primary Suite — Residential Interior Design, Greenville, SC

The brief for this primary suite was simple: serene, sophisticated, and completely restful. The design answer came in the form of a dramatic botanical mural wallcovering behind the bed — a black and white canopy of branches that brings the outdoors in without adding a single drop of color.
From there, every decision was made in service of that centerpiece. A soft, neutral palette of warm whites, champagne, and greige keeps the room calm and cohesive. The upholstered headboard, layered bedding, and paired linen-shaded sconces create a sense of quiet symmetry, while the gold-toned X-bench ottomans at the foot of the bed add just enough glamour to keep it from feeling too safe.
The result is a primary suite that genuinely feels like a retreat — the kind of room you don't want to leave in the morning.

Model Home — New Construction Interior Design, Bowie, MD

This is what happens when a neutral palette refuses to play it safe. The cream linen sectional is classic and generous — the kind of sofa a room can be built around — but it's the decisions behind it that make this space memorable. A dramatic slatted wood accent wall in deep espresso creates warmth and architectural interest, anchoring the seating area and giving the stacked abstract art a gallery-worthy backdrop.
The layering is what elevates it. Charcoal velvet, marbled print, and black bouclé pillows create a mix of texture and pattern that feels curated rather than coordinated. The marble coffee table keeps the foreground light and fresh, while the bowl of natural woven spheres, ceramic ginger jar, and gold sputnik accent bring in organic warmth without breaking the sophisticated color story.
Every detail earned its place in this room — and it shows.

Open concept living room and kitchen interior design — new construction Upstate South Carolina — contemporary transitional furnishings by All-lynnteriors

Open Concept Living & Kitchen — New Construction Interior Design, Upstate South Carolina

One of the most common challenges in new construction is making an open concept space feel intentional rather than unfinished. This project solved that with a strong material story — dark espresso cabinetry in the kitchen, crisp white furniture in the living area, and a bold cowhide patchwork rug that ties the two zones together without blending them into one.
The lacquered white coffee table and chrome legs keep the living space feeling light and contemporary, while leather seating and warm metallic drapery panels add richness and depth. Sculptural accessories on the media console and coffee table give the eye places to land without cluttering the clean lines of the design.
The result is an open floor plan that feels cohesive, current, and completely considered from every angle.

Riverfront home interior design South Carolina — waterfront living room, luxury river house furnishings, velvet sectional with water views by All-lynnteriors Greenville SC

Riverfront Living Room — Riverfront Home Interior Design, Pennsylvania

When the view is this extraordinary, the design has one job: honor it without competing with it.
This riverfront great room was designed to draw every eye toward the water while still functioning beautifully as a space for living, gathering, and settling in. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sheer white drapery panels keep the river front and center at every hour of the day. The oversized sectional in deep charcoal velvet is positioned to face both the view and the room — generous enough for a crowd, grounded enough to anchor the space without blocking what everyone came here to see.
The material palette is rich and intentional. Warm gold and ivory accent pillows, a round travertine coffee table, and bronze ceramic vessels bring in the natural tones of the landscape outside. The matte black and brass chandelier overhead adds a modern edge that keeps the space feeling current rather than coastal-cliché. A dark navy media cabinet with brass hardware quietly holds the practical without sacrificing the polished.
This is river house design done properly — relaxed enough to feel like a retreat, refined enough to feel like a home.
